Friday I'm In Love

Good morning!
I have decided to introduce something new on my blog starting today....each week "Friday I'm In Love" will feature a favorite of mine that I plan to share with you.  The name is from the song by the eighties band, The Cure (yup, I love the eighties~I'm not just a country girl!). The feature could be anything from clothes, shoes or jewelry to home decor, cosmetics, food, travel, the arts...you name it! It may be something I own, gave as a gift, saw in a magazine, found on Etsy, ate at a restaurant, a book I read, a movie I saw, places I've been...the possibilities are endless. I think I'm going to have some fun with this. Time to start dreaming....

My first "love" is an item I bought as a gift for one of my very best friends for her birthday. I discovered Ritzy Misfit on Etsy and these fabulous wax seal pendants. I actually loved the gift I bought so much that I had to get one for myself. Isn't that how it always seems to work? So, let me tell you about it. Each piece is a stunning unique design, melted and stamped by hand. It is then painted, rubbed, sanded and buffed to perfection. No two are alike and each one is spectacular! So spectacular that this pendant has actually been worn numerous times by the celebrities on the Bachelorette and on the current season of The Bachelor (yes, I do watch these shows...can't help it, that reality tv just sucks me in sometimes).

Ok, so when you purchase a pendant, you are able to chose color, character, how much paint and your monogram. The price is very reasonable, averaging $38 per pendant which includes an 18" curb chain. Buying from Ritzy Misfit can also be a charitable contribution as a portion of proceeds from a few of her designs go back to chosen foundations. How great is that?

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE my pendant??? I think it's time to show you....

I chose the teal color, second degree of character and medium paint with my first initial.
Here it is up close....
