Friday I'm In Love...feature #2

Welcome to the weekend! I'm back with my second feature for my "Friday I'm In Love" series and my pick today goes to Georgianna Lane Fine Art Photography. Georgianna is a fellow blogger friend and etsy shop owner whom I have admired for the past year. This talented artist is a long-time photographer, digital artist and designer living in Seattle. She travels the world extensively to bring us the finest images in garden, floral and travel photography. Georgianna manages to create mystically romantic light-filled images that never cease to delight the senses. Often times, as I am browsing the world of etsy, I come across a Georgianna Lane photograph and I know it immediately. Her unique style is evident in every image.

Georgianna and her husband, David, have recently opened a second etsy shop, Paris Plus, featuring photography from their international travels and the unique charm of Paris. I hope you will take the time to visit these remarkable shops and let yourself bask in the splendor of their talent if only for a moment or two...I promise it's a trip worth taking.

I have chosen a handful of favorites from both shops to feature today. It was difficult to chose only a few! I have provided the links to each print for more details and you may click on this link "Georgianna Lane" to visit her shop in it's entirety. You may like to visit her lovely blog as well by linking here GeorgiannaLane.

I hope you have enjoyed this parisian journey. Thank you, Georgianna, for all of your many inspirations!
Enjoy the day!

A Framing Project...

This morning I have a little project I have been working on that I want to share...if any of you are familiar with my Etsy shop, then you may have seen the large old window frame that I had for sale. I bought it in it's original state with loads of chippy dingy white paint and the glass intact.

I listed it just like this and had a ton of people "favorite" the window, but it always came down to the problem of shipping. This window frame is large....29"x32" and very heavy with the glass. I was also worried about the glass breaking in shipping. So, I decided to change it up a bit and I knocked out the glass (not a fun task). I thought it would be easier than it was, but that old thick glass was very stubborn and tightly sealed in the frame. I then decided I should paint the frame a more eye-popping color and market it for a beach cottage...
Once again, many favorites, but no sale. It still was going to be a bear to ship with it's size. So, it's been leaning against the wall in my guest bedroom/office for a couple months and I decided that I really love it and I'm going to keep it! But, I've added a little twist...
Voila! Re-painted back to an heirloom white, still with bits of the turquoise blue peeking through and looking authentically shabby. I purchased a great fabric with a fancy script and sheet music design. The background is a linen color with red and brown text. I simply staple gunned the fabric to the back of the window frame, careful not to damage the delicate old wood. It is hanging from the original rusty window chains on a hook.

This is my guest bed...
I ordered that rug from Ballard Designs and it just came yesterday...I love it! It is an antique letter indoor/outdoor rug made of a soft sisal weave. It's great for my office area because it can be easily washed with soap and water. How great does this look?? I just love a little change.

There are a few frames in my Swede13 etsy shop that I have also used to frame some lovely french fabrics...

A simple project that adds charm to your beach, french or farmhouse cottage in an instant!
I hope my little projects have added a bit of inspiration to your day.
